ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONY
Date: Wednesday May 10, 2023

In May we honor our athletes, volunteers and coaches with a themed awards ceremony. Over 350 people attend, and we take a minute to acknowledge each team, share some food and ice cream and present each athlete with a special gift each year. Of course we have music and dancing as no NAU event is complete without it.

SCHULTZ FAMILY KIDS TRIATHLON
Thursday, July 20, 2023

In July we celebrate the life of David Schultz with the Schultz Family Kids Triathlon. Triathlete David Schultz founded the race in the summer of 2018 by putting on a mini-triathlon for his three children. The kids loved the race so much that the family planned to make it an annual tradition.   Following Dave’s unexpected passing in 2019, we created a community triathlon to honor his legacy of promoting youth fitness, and community spirit.  This inclusive event has kids from 6-12, swimming, biking and running around Newton North High School, and of course includes celebratory ice cream.

CORNHOLE CLASSIC
Date: Thursday, August 3, 2023

The 8th Annual Athletes Unlimited Cornhole Classic will take place at the American Legion Post 440 on Thursday night August 3rd. Originally started as a fundraiser, this event has grown into the community event of the summer!  We host an AU Social division and the ever growing inclusive division.  No good contest is complete without catchy team names and the occasional team uniform and the inclusive division wins that category every year!

PADDY’S ROAD RACE
October 15, 2023

In October, all roads lead to Paddy’s Public House in West Newton for our biggest event and fundraiser. Over 2,000 runners participate in 3 separate events – the kids field races for ages 1 to 10, 1K inclusive event, and the crown jewel lightning fast 3M event. Irish music, step dancing, cheering fans, delicious post-race food and block party make the Sunday after Columbus Day the best one of the year!
